Mercedes N. Baker is an attorney practicing in the areas of personal injury litigation and estate planning. A native of Tennessee, she graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2018, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in Religious Studies and a concentration in Disasters, Displacement, and Human Rights. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Nashville School of Law, where she served as an Honor Council Representative and graduated among the top students in her class. 
While pursuing her degree, Mercedes was approved by the Tennessee Supreme Court to practice under a Rule 7 Limited License, allowing her to provide estate planning services to clients of Habitat for Humanity. She is also a Tennessee Supreme Court listed Rule 31 Civil Mediator, further expanding her ability to assist clients in resolving disputes effectively.
Before joining Glenn Injury Law, Mercedes worked as an estate planning law clerk, assisting individuals with asset protection, estate administration, and premarital planning. She gained extensive, hands-on experience preparing a wide range of legal instruments including revocable and irrevocable trusts, last wills and testament, powers of attorney, deeds, prenuptial agreements, and more.
Outside of work, Mercedes serves as a committee member for Harpeth Conservancy, where she supports clean water initiatives for rivers in Tennessee. She is also the owner of Impasto Syndrome Art, an independent art studio specializing in custom heavy-body acrylic paintings and is a member of the Arts Council of Williamson County. She also enjoys thrifting, cheering on the Tennessee Vols, and exploring Nashville’s many local offerings.
